A little tempermentalRating: 4
I just got my SDA and am loving it with a few exceptions. I chose not to buy the internet package because several people on this site mentioned that you could access the internet using existing WiFi accounts. My phone will detect WiFi, but thus far won't allow me to open any web browsers. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is happening? I have to agree with the comments about the joystick. It is tiny and can take a lot of work to use. I'm still trying to figure out how to use my new toy, but overall seems like a great purchase.

It's a great little piece of gadgetry. And you can make phone calls on it too! The only two minus' I can find with the thing after over a month of use is I can not figure out how to stop the ring from an incoming nessage while I am on the phone. Kind of annoying, but not the end of the world. Also the internet is fast and but I have a bit of a problem with the whole Macromedia Flash thing. Won't play sites with that.
But I can always wait til I get to the laptop for that.
I can access almost every website I have been able to type in.
I am still trying to figure out how to get television shows on it tho. But it has been a fun toy. Conversations are clear and the mp3 thing came in handy when my flight was delayed. I put a 1 gig card in it and so far have not filled it with vids, pics or songs. The earphones are great. I can read email, instant message and amuse myself electronically in oh so many ways.
I had to sign up for 2 years which was no problem since we have a great family plan with T-Mobile.
I started with the company while I was in Europe in 2000 and stuck with them over here. They have the best customer service of any I have come across and you don't annoy anyone with that horribly rude walkie talkie feature that all the drug dealers, wanna be rappers and generally immature folk seem to love. I mean really...do you think anyone wants to actually listen to your conversations?
Anyway, if you don't have one of these, you should get one!
really powerful features packed in a cute little deviceRating: 4
Its amazing how powerful this device is, given how cute and small it is.
pros, other than the ones mostly mentioned, -
windows 5.0 -
* T9 works gr8. just press the keys that have the letters (once each)
* UI is quite intuitive i must say
* contacts search is awesome
phone -
* joystick is gr8, u just hav to get used to the pressure that is to be applied. and usually anybody can get used to it in the first few days itself.
* MP3 keys!! this is my fav feature. (although i havent used it a lot)
* wifi, mini sd card, size, weight, form factor. I would say it definately looks better than Cingular 2125, but then it depends on the user. Both have exactly the same features except for wifi. Same manufacturer I think.

cons -
phone -
* keys are small. its quite difficult to reach the bottom-most 3 keys with one hand, but the good news is the last three keys dont have any alphabets on them.
windows 5.0 -
**** updated **********
* No manual locking of the phone. (screen does go off if unlock is not pressed according to power management settings)

How to do it -
settings - security - disable/enable phone lock.

overall its an amazing phone worth the buy.
