Rated 3.0 out of 5

The RAZR V3's design takes the standard clamshell form factor to the next level with an impressive, anodized aluminum construction. A large 176 x 220 color display with 262,000 colors dominates the inside of the top cover. The outside cover of the handset sports a supplementary 96 x 80 full-color display that can display pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. The VGA camera lens is housed above this display. Up/down buttons are placed on the left side for volume control while a voice button on the right side of the unit allows you to enter voice memos and create voice dialing profiles. The RAZR V3's internal phone book can hold up to 1000 contacts while the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures to your most common callers. It also supports polyphonic ringtones as well as MP3 ringers, allowing you to use portions of your favorite songs to alert you to incoming calls. A number of ringtones come preloaded on the phone and more ringtones can be downloaded from T-Mobile's t-zones service. There's even an included application, MotoMixer, that lets you mix your own ringtones. The RAZR V3 is a messaging and wireless Internet powerhouse. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, sound and video via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. Instant messaging is also supported (T-Mobile messaging charges apply) and the phone ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP protocols. With 5 MB of internal memory storage, the RAZR V3 shines in the entertainment department. The phone's VGA camera features a 4x zoom, image quality options, and an auto-timer so you can be in your pictures, too. Capture stills and then send them to your friends via MMS messaging or email, or to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. The phone is capable of MPEG4 video playback when you receive a video message, or if you upload video to the phone via USB or Bluetooth. The RAZR V3 also supports custom graphics for wallpapers so you can dress up the phone to suit your fancy.

(I originally wrote this for the black version of this phone, but since they're all the same, I want to put everyone on notice how terrible this phone is, irrespective of color.)

I don't mind if no one agrees with me on this, but the fact is, this phone is overrated. Not only does it make its owner seem more "ritzy," which I utterly despise about it, it also doesn't make life easier for its users. It's supposed to be the "next big thing" in phones, but it's nothing but a big disappointment, if you ask me.

I've not even had the phone for twelve hours, and the main problem I have with it is that I cannot seem to get the "Next Call Only" caller ID to change to something like "All Calls," if possible. What is the point in having only your next call show your caller ID? I don't see the point in that because, more often than not, private calls are disregarded by those who receive them. I almost didn't get a hold of two of my friends within a few hours of each other because my ID didn't show up. What was Motorola thinking?

I'm going to take this phone to the Cingular Store tomorrow. If there's no way around it, then I'm sorry to say that I have to keep this one-star rating up and published. If there is a solution to the problem, then I may reconsider. All in all, it's still a hassle, and the RAZR is just another status-symbol item for people to display to others. I was happy with my old, outdated Nokia I-never-knew-what-model-number, and supposedly this was an "upgrade" of that phone. Upgrade my [you know what].

This phone is overall just a little bit above good/okay. I cant stand the text style and its kind hard to find everything but after a while you get used to it and overall is a pretty good and it has the regular features like alarm, voice recording, camera, video and the speaker phone comes in handy sometimes ^^ it is a popular phone because it is thin but it is kinda big for the hand as it is wide.

this is the best phone ever i got one the other day and the bluetooth is really awsome i really recommend this phone.

I own oneRating: 3
I have a Motorola Pink Razr through Cingular. I would describe the color as being a salmon-y magenta. I met a lady with one she got through a different service, and hers was a very pretty almost pastel lilac-y pink. So I wonder if the color varies slightly depending on which service you go through. After all, they have red Razr's in Europe.

I'm not thrilled with my phone, although it's not been too terrible. My biggest problem with it is that I expected the outside window, which is quite big enough, to alert me when I get messages or miss calls. It does NOT. If I miss a call, I only find out when I flip the phone open. Same thing when I've set the alarm clock. If I miss hearing the alert sound, I don't realize an alarm has gone off until I open the phone. Seems a shame to waste all that window space on just the time, when it could be put to good use to display a message once in awhile.

I also do not like the picture quality. I cannot get a good picture from the phone. Most of the time it's overexposed. All of the time the color is very desaturated and blah.

While using the phone itself, though, I've had very few problems. Yes, it's big and kinda bulky, but it's still enough of a novelty to get at least one comment a week from someone who admires you for owning a Pink RAZR. I also like how the phone slips into a purse or pocket without a lot of bulk.

Two experiences with other razrs: 1) My son had his razr stepped on, and it snapped in half, literally. Thicker phones could have held up. 2) My friend had a razr and something happened to shatter the outer screen. I guess it's more vulnerable.

My friend also hates her Razr because it's very difficult to hold it to your ear with your shoulder. I personally rarely hold a phone that way, but if it's important to you, well, the Razr makes it difficult, although not impossible.

Those are my thoughts. I'll keep it until the next newest and greatest phone comes out. I won't necessarily stick to the Razr. (I'm looking forward to an Apple phone someday.)

Cons
1. camera color balance is AWFUL. Everything has a bluish purple cast. (motorola blue flip phone camera was good)
2. phone randomly shuts down (learned that this is a software problem admitted by tmobile-hey ever thought of FIXING THIS?)
3. software interface is TEDIOUS. Take 5 steps backwards to move 1 step is the best way to describe it.
4. dropping it (on carpeting) is fun-we all drop them right? the only way to turn it back on is to plug in the charger. try that when you're out and about.
5. don't bother with "pay as you go". if you send a picture to another phone on the same account with t-mobile, they run you throuh a sign up here at this website to view the picture (you'll use extra extra minutes on the web)
6. GRRRRRRR The phone randomly shuts down --twice while trying to type this review. JUNK JUNK JUNK
7. the exterior screen (good idea but cruddy execution) doesn't work all the time
Pros (stretching to come up with them)
1. exterior screen - shows time, battery charge, picture. Lets you close the phone while using the camera.
2. basically a pro is that it's a cellphone
3. the pink doesn't scratch off easily
4. it's pretty slim for the pocket

If my friend asked me if they should get a motorola phone I'd steer them very clear of it.
Too much hype!Rating: 2
I originally owned a Sidekick II and that phone was not all it was cracked up to be so I heard about the RAZR phone and went directly to T-mobile and bought one...the pink one. I thought the Sidekick was bad, this one was worse! It gets hot as soon as you put it up to your ear, and it may be thin but it's big once you open it. I charged the phone for 24hrs before I used it, the phone never held a charge all day. AND when I would flip the phone open to use it, it would just shut off. Now maybe mine was a defective phone, but I returned it 12 days after I bought it and went back to my Sidekick. And by the way, the excitement of it being "magenta" (which it really does look like the color they show if you buy from T-mobile)...wears off about 24hrs after having it!!
A Good PhoneRating: 5
A phone is a phone, and the RAZR V3 does not dissapoint. So far I have had no problems and everything is great. The design is superb and the phone is reliable. The camera has 4x zoom, which is a nice feature, and has over 30 ringtones, which is also very nice. I am a very happy customer.
Looks great, at leastRating: 2
I have a 3 month old Razr phone and it recently has begun having problems. Ocassionaly, when I flip it open, the screen goes white and then the phone resets itself. Sometimes after the phone has been fully charged, the battery meter drops to 0 when I disconnect it from the charger. It still works the same, just shows a false power level. It shows the correct charge when I reboot the phone or it'll fix itself after a day or so. Every Motorola phone I've owned is sensitive to other electronic devices, and the Razr is no exception. If I am within a few feet of a computer or tv I hear static and buzzing. Even when I'm not near electronics, the Razr always has a soft buzzing sound in the earpiece. Also the earpiece speaker sounds like it's been knocked loose or is just blown altogether (mind you that I've never dropped it) as anything high pitched sounds distorted. Lastly, the software is often very sluggish. Motorola phones in general take longer to think than other phones. Avoid the Razr. Avoid Motorola altogether. Their phones are glitchy and problem-laden. Any google search on the subject will agree.
Soooo Much better than Verizon's pink razr!!!Rating: 5
I first went with the Verizon pink razr, since I already had Verizon service and I was very displeased with it. So after dealing with their terrible costumer service for too long I went to cingular the day my contract ended! I got the Cingular pink razr and I love it!!!

It takes a little getting used to, but that's the case with every new phone. I don't think it's hard to get to menu options, and one of my favorite features it that you can personalize all the quick keys, you can put just about any menu option on any quick key you want. The exterior screen shows the time, signal strength and battery level. And I love Cingulars "My Account" feature in the menu, which takes you to your info like how many minutes you've used and how many you have left!!I also love the color, it's much cuter than Verizon's light pink almost purple looking razr.

Overall I'm very pleased with this phone and with a little time and a brother that can do anything with a computer, you can hack this phone to get rid of all the junk they put on it and personalize it even more...like replace the little Cingular guy that shows up on the exterior screen when the phone is open with any image you want!!! =)

DONT LET THE NICE LOOK DECEIVE YOU!!!
I bought this phone in september 2005. It looks really nice and flat but:
1-Phonebook is prehistoric you can't store more than one number under the same name unless you enter the name again.
2-The charger seems to have some connection error after 2 months, I have to move the plug up and down till this "sensitive " gets electricity
I had NOKIA and SONY ERICSSON before and used them for at least 2 years with no problem.
Motorola after 3 months started giving me trouble..
WIll never buy and recommend this product.

Form over FunctionRating: 3

Don't expect this phone to work any better than a Motorola V551. I wrongly thought with the price as high as it was that I'd have perfect reception and no dropped calls. Nothing has changed.

Don't get me wrong, this matte black phone is slim and sexy and lightweight fun and easy to slip into a pocket. But those are it's biggest draws.

Some other cons include:

-The large square screen and key pad get dirty easily from holding the phone up to your face. I don't wear make-up, but if I did, I can imagine that I'd always be taking a toothpick to all of those little crevices between the keys on the flat keypad all the time. As it is now, I'm constantly wiping the screen and keys.

-The battery life is not long and if you're going anywhere overnight, remember to bring your charger.

-The operating system is the same as other newer model Motorola phones, so don't expect a big upgrade there either.

If Cingular is your provider, the sim card from your current phone will work in this unlocked version nicely. However, make sure you've saved all of your numbers and info on the card and not on the old phone before you take the sim card out of the old phone, because it doesn't slip into this phone very easily. Once it's in, it is difficult to remove.

If you have some extra money to spend on a new phone and you don't mind the same reception problems as cheaper phones, then this is the phone for you.

Very disapointing device, even for the basicsRating: 1
The dimensions of the device were appealing to me as it allows for easy carry in jeans or shirt pocket.

However, that is where positives end.
One can complain for the lack of features compared to the competition but this phone fails the most basic function - it has extremely poor reception. I live in an area with very strong signal, almost always maximum strength indication with my previous Sony-Ericsson and Nokia phones and not a single failed/dropped call in 5 years. Very different story with the razr (both mine and my wife's). As if failed calls were not enough, Motorola provides no software to allow PC connection (unbelievable for a device they claim has PIM functionality), the operating system is very slow, and the user interface is clanky.

Very disappointing!
Looks great but I got a lemon!Rating: 2
I bought this phone in Feb (it's now June) and the thing completely died on me by the 3rd month. I liked the look and feel of this phone compared to my old fatty Nokia 6600 and the menu's were easy to customize. However, the speaker volume at max sounded very low compared to my old phone and the metal round hinges that held my flip phone together kept popping out? I thought I was having dropped calls when I realized my phone would just shut off (and no I didn't hit the power button). The backlight to my key pad kept going on and off and the text messaging began to slow down the more I used it. The battery life was great until my phone randomly shut off during a charge session. I dropped my phone on carpet once and the battery cover on the back flew right off. I highly recommend you get the warranty from your service provider. Don't rely on Motorola alone because when I called them they just pointed me to my service provider who would NOT exchange the phone without a warranty plan (which I didn't purchase when I bought the phone back in Feb). Good luck and I hope you don't get a lemon like I did!
Big problems with recharge on these phones- A known issueRating: 1
this will be the 3rd razor from cingular in 18 months.. the first died after a 3 months the battery wouldn't hold the charge.. but it was a fault of the phone not the battery and was a known issue and so was replaced with a refurbished one... which i really resent grrrr... the second one died after 2 days because it over heated.. and melted!!! They wanted to replace it with a refurbished one but after 2 hours on the phone with Cingular customer service explaining to them that i run my business from my phone etc.. they relented and gave me a new phone..now 3 months later this one has the same battery problems as the first one... Cingular and Motorola know about this issue and do nothing to fix it...I'm off to battle it out with them today.. meanwhile I don't have a phone!!!
DO NOT BUYRating: 1
This Phone looks appealing but the features are not at all. This phone is for someone who just wants to call and text. I bought this phone about the end of febuary. The camera quality is not good it looks too grey even when you adjust the settings. The video only records like 10(ten) seconds not good if you are trying to record a kodak moment :). The phone takes FOREVER to charge like 2 to 5 hours literally. The phone screen cracks easily i dropped mine closed and the liquid started coming out so i had to get a new one. ONLY buy this phone if you are only trying to text or call out. I DONT recommend this for a kid or someone who likes to have fun. Im thinking about getting the slvr but they say it sucks too so im not sure. BYE BYE! :)

Never had a problem; just a great phone!Rating: 5
I've had the Motorola Black RAZR for three months now and it is a great phone. I had researched it for a while and I'm very happy with it. It is truly just a cool phone that provides excellent functionality and call quality. You better be prepared to read the directions because it is complicated at times and you'll want to take advantage of most if not all of what this phone can do. And you must go for the Motorola H500 blue tooth ear piece. It takes 30 seconds to pair up the first time and you won't regret it, it's that good. It's nice having the phone that everyone wants. Only mystery is battery life of course. Listed @ 290 hours for stand by and 430 minutes for talk time, I think it falls short. I'm recharging about every 4 days but using it a lot so the line is blurred between pure stand by and talk time. My call quality is great and the accessories available on E-Bay will make your head spin. Be sure to check them all out.
I haven't experienced the problems that a lot of people have mentioned in their reviews. I'm sure there are a few drawbacks I haven't had to deal with yet but I've thoroughly enjoyed using the phone especially the blue tooth that has been nothing but spectacular. Besides it's a cool phone and EVRYONE notices when you pull out a RAZR and isn't that what cell phones are all about?
Come on seriouslyRating: 1
I bought the SLVR for my girlfriend and a Razr for myself. I figured the Razr looked good enough and decided to buy it. Remember when you were younger and you ate something you weren't supposed to? (Chalk... Glue...)

This is the same deal, except instead of retardation, you received a ton of crap instead. The battery casing sucks, as it won't snap on properly. When I discussed it with Cingular in person they showed me how I could fix the problem. Sure I can fix it easily each time I snap the case back on by giving it an extra tap, but if I paid a few hundred dollars for a phone, no extra tap should be neccessary. The phone also stinks in terms of the buttons. (The batteries is an issue thoroughly discussed, instead of venting and repeating, I will say- I concur!)

Its not the fact that it appears all to be one giant button that angers me, it is the fact that they have two little buttons picked out for you, next to the wheel and under the soft keys.

Look, I am a poor college student, I could barely afford the phone. I can't afford all the internet features that it can perform. But the phone has a button that forces you to go on the internet, each time you so innocently graze it. Thats what we call- annoying.

WORST PHONE EVER.
Mac iSyncRating: 3
I don't own this phone, but I tried it out in a Cingular store. I had a MacBook with me with bluetooth. The Mac was able to pair with the V3, quite easily. I used iSync to try to replace the addresses and calendar on the V3 with those from the MacBook. All of the addresses transferred correctly, although each phone number for each individual was a separate entry. The calendar would not transfer at all. On the Apple Support Page, it clearly states that the V3 will not sync calendars, only contacts. Once the contacts were on the V3, the only way to remove them was to select each one individually, and navigate to the delete button (about 4 clicks). It was easier to remove the SIM card and toss it. Lack of number portability with Amazon is a big minus.

I went to the mobile phone booth at the mall, they had a number of different phones on display, Nokia are getting excellent reviews, but I really wanted to try a Motorola this time around, they had a RAZR there on display, it had a broken screen - HAHAHAHAHAHA, what a great selling ploy.

I have seen countless trendy-type people, you know the kind, drive the B'mers, act like they are better than the rest of us, well they are telling me that the RAZR is ..."OK", in other words they don't want to admit they went with the "trend" and have discovered it is a piece-of-junk.

Everyone makes mistakes, Motorola wanted to design a stylish, thin-mint phone to fit in a shirt or suit pocket descreetly, and it does, and in fact that's where you'll get the best performance out of this phone - in your pocket, protected from being broken.

Do yourself a favor, get a "real" Motorola phone (V360 for example) and get a Bluetooth earpiece (HS810) and you will be miles ahead of the RAZR.
Best Cell I Ever HadRating: 4
Cell Phone is great!

Pros: Great function features, very cool style, no antenna, internal and external display.

Cons: Video time is too short, a little to wide, could not hide numbers secretly, no flash feature for night camera shots.

Suggestions: needs to have a self destruction feature when loosing phone due to all the picture memory and video clips.
GOOD AND BADRating: 2
The phone works great. Great reception, sound, and video quality. The only real problem is the charging. Plug in the charger, set the phone down and it is charging fine, come back in a few minutes and it is no longer charging as if the cord is not even there, or it has completely shut down and is no longer charging. Have to unplug the cord and replug it and the charge starts over. This can happen over and over, can take days to charge this phone. Have taken it back twice. First time they replaced the battery, it did the same thing. Second time they replaced the whole phone, it worked great for a few weeks, now the new one is doing the SAME thing.

What good is a phone that won't charge!
cool looking, but fails in functionalityRating: 2
I've had this phone for 6 months now. Here are the gist of its pros and cons.
Pros:
- cool looking (although it has lost some of its coolness because it seems that everyone has this phone now)
- suprisingly long battery life
- ok camera
- bright and large screen
Cons:
- sound quality is VERY VERY VERY POOR!!! BAD! MALO!
- can only save sms and mms messages in the SIM not the phone memory. (For those not familiar, SIM memory only holds about 30 or so messages)
- You can not put the phone to manner mode (vibe) with a single button. It requires at least three key strokes. (this may sound like no big deal to some, but to me, I don't want to 1.flip open the phone, 2. press two more key strokes 3. scrol down to vibrate, during or before a meeting.
- the menus are hard to get used to.
Opinion:
If you only care about how you will look with cool looking phone, then the razr may be the phone for you. However, if you are used to the good sound qualities of panasonic, sonyEricsson, or Nokia, this phone is sure to dissapoint. The phone is sleek but the sound quality is poor (noticible cracks at high volume) and the speaker volume just does not get loud enough. (for example, if you are walking around midtown manhatten, you will not be able to carry on a conversation with ease because it will be too hard to hear the end caller). If you are going for style AND good sounding phone, there are options. Get the new samsung D807 which is just as thin as the razr and has splindid sound quality and better firmware. If you are a heavy data user get the new smaller blackberry or the Nokia 6682 (the new simbian platform allows third party apps and lots of goodies). If you are thinking about buying the motorola Slvr, DON'T! It uses esentially the same firmware as the razor and the sound quality is just as poor. (my relatives all own the above mentioned phones)
CONCLUSION:
Don't get conned by clever marketting. Motorola phone are below par in sound quality and others such as the nokia and the samsung has good if not better looking phones, if style is your thing.
RAZR - BewareRating: 1
I have experienced a lot of problems with my RAZR phone. I have had to send it back twice to the Motorola repair center. The phone keeps losing its speakers so you can't hear anything. Also, the address book is lousy. The only redeeming feature is that the camera is pretty good. I am planning to buy different phone even though I still have about 1 1/2 years left on my service and will have to pay full price. The guy in the store told me that they get the most returns on the RAZR than any other phone.
Form over functionRating: 1
I really expected to love this phone. And if I only had to admire it from an aesthetic point of voice, I would love it.

Too bad the phone actually needs to be functional.

Here, in a nutshell, are the reasons I will never again be seduced by a form-over-function phone:

1. Missed calls. The phone won't ring and vibrate at the same time. I can't tell you how many calls I've missed because I had the phone on audible ring and the surrounding area was noisy.

2. Missed calls. The most aggravating feature of this phone is that it will spontaneously change itself to silent mode. The problem? Those two little buttons on the exterior side of the phone. They change the ring mode. And they're sensitive enough that if you leave the phone in your pants pocket, that they'll change mode on you when jiggling around in your pocket.

3. Navigation. The Motorola software is a mess -- difficult to figure out, plus slow.

All in all, this phone is a thing of beauty -- if you don't mind wasting time and missing calls.
Wow this phone is junkRating: 1
Who would own a phone that requires two hands? It doesn't sound good either. All this business of putting cameras and iTunes and making them smaller/thinner and they aren't spending efforts in making a better PHONE.
Very disappointing!Rating: 2
Let me just start by admitting I sure am glad I waited 6 months of owning the Razr v3 before writing a review. I was psyched when I got my new phone in December 2005 that it worked perfectly, it was just as stylish as promised, the screen resolution was (and is) excellent, and it was just great as I was used to the Motorola interface and all its little quirks.

However, just six months later, my phone is unusable. Just--out of the blue--the all the keys stop working. Well, correction, one key still works: the power button. I end up having to drag out an old phone to use because--given a few days--the Razr miraculously recovers. However, it is tiresome hauling a back-up phone around!! I don't know what gives, but I'm tired of this little quirk which can be a major problem if I'm faced with an emergency. Overall, a very unstable, disappointing product.
fancy phone but not goodRating: 2
I've own this phone for 2 months and felt quite disappointed. The phone looks beauty and cool. However, since it is too thin and wide, the feeling in hand is not so good. As everybody knows, the battery sucks. With wired ear bud, it may support talk time from 2 hours to 3 hours at most. But with bluetooth ear bud, most of the time, it can only have 1.5-hour talk time. But when you use BT ear bud, the phone automatically disable all the customized the ring tones, so that you have no way to know who's calling you from the ring tones. The only good thing of this model over my old V300 cell phone is the mini USB port which let me easily download/upload pictures and ring tones from my computer. But the software is not come with the phone. Same as V300, you still have to buy the software. Luckily, you save the money for the data cable, if you have a digital camera or camcorder which uses the same mini USB cable.

Don't believe the hypeRating: 2
I definitely get lots of attention for having the phone. Women want to hold it and men think it's sexy; even kids are facinated by it. I purchased mine within the first week that Cingular had them available and even then, I had not seen any of the T-Mobile phones in person. So, I have been the talk of the town for quite some time now. Unfortunately, I paid the original price and I am one of the victims of the recalled phones. The phone is very cute and compact, but that is not much of a trade off for the lack of quality, durability and function.

This is my third camera phone and the picture quality is worse than my first, which is now about a hundred years old in tech time. These features should be improving, not regressing. All of my phones, since '97 have been Motorola, so it is not a company issue. This deficit is specific to this phone. I have not even bothered with the video camera.

The earpiece is not very loud, even on its highest setting. This is just downright annoying. Because the phone is so flat, there is no contour to the face while talking. This makes the poor volume seem like even more of an issue. I use the wireless earpiece most of the time, even when both hands are free.

I say the phone is not durable, but perhaps it is. When I drop it, pieces bounce off or break completely (not durable). Somehow, after replacing the battery cover, powering off, then on, everyhting is OK expcept for the scratches in the pink paint (durable). I figure that by the time I am finished with the phone, I will have knicked away so much color, that it will be just a regular old silver Razr.

All in all, I'm glad that I purchased the phone, because I never would have believed that such a cute phone would be so terrible without actually owning it myself. Now that I do, I am trying to convey to everyone else how absolutely overrated this phone is. Beyond it's external design, it's been a major disappointment.

Caller ID clarificationRating: 5
One of the other reviewers complained about the "Next Call Only" for Caller ID. This is how the Caller ID feature works:

You can either have Caller ID turned on all the time and then use the "Next Call Only" feature on your phone to turn it off for just the next call.
OR
You can have Caller ID turned off all the time and then use the "Next Call Only" feature on your phone to turn it on for just the next call.

That reviewer must have it set to the second option. This person needs to call their cell phone service provider and ask them to switch it so that Caller ID is turned on all the time.
Here is an excerpt from their review:

"I've not even had the phone for twelve hours, and the main problem I have with it is that I cannot seem to get the "Next Call Only" caller ID to change to something like "All Calls," if possible. What is the point in having only your next call show your caller ID? I don't see the point in that because, more often than not, private calls are disregarded by those who receive them. I almost didn't get a hold of two of my friends within a few hours of each other because my ID didn't show up."

Works great if you use it right--one question for other reviewers...Rating: 4
Like many other reviewers, I find that this clip works perfectly if you put the phone in "backwards" with the glass screen facing your body. One question for those who have had this clip for awhile: Is there a danger of the plastic (which seems to rest directly on the glass) scratching the screen? I'm thinking of putting some thin cloth tape on the clip to serve as a buffer, but I don't want to bother if no one has had a problem after prolonged use.
Belt Holster functions wellRating: 5
Unlike some of the other reviews, I find that this holster holds my phone securely when facing with screen out. It clamps securely onto the back of the phone and will not fall out. If I place the phone with face in, it is loose in the holster and can fall out, if I lean over. Perhaps the design changed since these other reviews were made. A minor problem is that if you open the phone all the way with the holster attached, the camera lens is partially blocked. But I don't find this to be a major issue.
Just as stumped as you all!Rating: 5
Put your RAZR in the holster backwards! After you get over the frustration of trying to force it in facing out, you will appreciate the design because it protects your RAZR's screen from accidentally getting bumped and cracked. Great holster. I also have mine in clear (which you can get for about $5 shipping included off of ebay) which also looks really cool
total junkRating: 1
I bought 2 charges to try and save a buck, but they are complete junk. They worked, but never well, for about a month and then the metal charger tip totally pulled apart from the unit!
I think this charger UN-charges my phoneRating: 2
I agree with most of the others, it worked okay for a couple of months... now, not only does it not charge my phone, but if I plug it into my phone, it immediately loses all charge! It's also always falling out of the lighter plug. I don't have that problem with any of my other chargers and I carry three chargers with me for my different gadgets.
Phone Complains "Unauthorized Charger"Rating: 1
Although this charger is suggested when purchasing the Verizon Razr, the phone complains that this an "Unauthorized Charger" and it will not charge the phone. Do not waste your time with this.
Good for the price you payRating: 4
I received my kit a few weeks ago, and haven't had any of the problems described in the other reviews. The case smells like leather, if you don't like the smell of leather, you need to buy something else. It fits the phone perfectly and I can close the phone and charge it without any issues. Either the manufacturer changed something or the other reviewers didn't have it fitted properly on their phone, and i don't see how that is possible. The actual charger has been working fine so far as well. I would recommend this kit to anyone that has a Razor and wants to save some money.
UnchargeableRating: 1
I discovered that in order to charge the phone the case had to be removed. What's the point in that? Removing the case often caused the edges to fray and rip. It was a bad design and I tossed it.
JunkRating: 1
I received this from Amazon.com after complaining that my pink Razr didn't come with the leather case that is advertised with it. Needless to say, I ended up buying one on my own. YES this thing stinks, and no it doesn't fit the phone. I didn't even bother trying the car charger.

I would have given this ZERO stars, but they don't give you that option.
