It doesn't work. The phone manager can't find the handset so you can't even download photos (which is all I wanted it for). As I sit here it has spent 10 minutes "trying to connect to handset", does not show up on the com port as it should according to the help file, if it does finally say it has connected it will not actually allow you to move files from your phone to your PC (another 10 minutes then "failed to connect to mobile phone!" - this while displaying "mobile phone connected succesfully" at the bottom of its screen) and the troubleshooting page is worse than useless. Same on my (brand new, bog standard because I haven't had time to mess around with it yet) windows laptop. My advice - steer clear of this piece of junk at all costs unless you want to spend a frustrating afternoon trying to access your handset.
Update - Having googled this worthless product, I came across a FAQ on their site - "why does my MA-8870 not connect to my Motorola V220?". Somehow this being a FAQ is no surprise. They advised me to download the latest upgrade. That doesn't work either.
Further update - even having deinstalled it, it's still causing problems - I've installed Motorola Phone Tools instead but whenever I connect my phone it keeps asking for the MAT driver, which I no longer have as I returned it to the shop. Nice work, Mobile Action Technology - your useless software also interferes with other people's 'ware that might otherwise work.

| I wanted something to get my pictures from my phone to my computer, and to be able to make my own ringtones from my mp3's or my own music CD's. This works great for me. I haven't tried to do anything with contacts or anything else, but for my pictures and music, perfect! Just make sure the mp3's you want to put on your phone are at 124 bit and not higher or your phone might not be able to play it back. |

| Can someone please help me - I have installed - uninstalled and when I plug in my phone - it says it is searching and that is it. It can never find the phone I have the Motorola Razor - any suggestions? |
