This headset is so comfortable I literally go to sleep wearing it sometimes. I would recommend this headset to anyone who spends ridiculous amounts of time talking on a headset, like I do.
I've gone through about 6 or so headsets trying to find the right one. Over the head headsets fall right off, and are bulky. Over the ear ones tend to stay on better, but often hurt to wear for a while. Most that go inside your ear end up causing the inside of your ear to really hurt.
But this Jabra headset(note: I also tried the boom version of this headset, and it didn't pick up sound well at all), and most Jabra headsets have this ear gel thing, and it's completely comfortable. Also the over the ear part is nice and rubbery, so it doesn't pinch your ear like some others do. And because it's rubber it holds to your skin, doesn't fall off easy. The over the ear part is thicker than most, and as I said rubbery, and as a result, it's very durable.
The sound quality is excellent, and I would describe it's ability to pick up sound as "good". But as with most bud style headsets, depending on your environment, you may have to move the bud around to be heard clear(true of most microphone types anyway).
NOTE: If you keep yanking on the cord, it might break! And if you don't keep your receipt, they might not replace it. Then again, if you aren't a moron, you won't do either of those things. |

I purchased the Jabra EarWave Boom at Best Buy in Feb 2005 for around $25. The product looked like it would fit comfortably around my ear - and it did. Included were two sets of soft gel-like ear plugs of differing lengths. The longer length ear plug fit deeper into the ear canal, providing good support and louder sound.
The story ends there because only a few months later the cord began shorting out and would only work when I pulled and held it either to the extreme left or right. I recently requested Jabra to fix or replace it. Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate the receipt (after a month or so I discarded it) so Jabra's response was:
"Without of a copy of your receipt we will not be able to replace the headsets for you, as is stated in the warranty statement that came with your product, this is required for a replacement under the warranty. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us."
As their website touts "the best customer service and product support in the headset industry" they clearly do not stand behind their products. I would avoid any Jabra products in the future. |

This earpiece fits securely in my ear, where most do not. Also its comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
My only gripe about it, is the distance between the earpiece and mic is too short for my big head, and i have to make an effort to hold the mic cord forward so i can be heard clearly. |
